Battlefield developers DICE, have listed everything you need to know about the upcoming September update for Battlefield 4. The update brings a host of fixes and tweaks to the bugged but beloved shooter.

This update is going to reach and have an effect on 5 game modes with information and feedback that was gained through the “Battlefield 4 Community Test Environment”.

Battlefield 4 Live Producer David Sirland has said, “our team at DICE LA is working hard to finish the next game update for Battlefield 4, aiming at a release in September.”

The effected game modes are Rush, Obliteration Competitive, Capture the Flag and Carrier Assault. This is mostly going to be the expected general improvements, tweaks and bug fixes.

The games “Visual Recoil” has been lessened to a considerable degree with Close to Medium Range reticules on the weapons optics no longer moving with the gun, this won’t alter the spread of bullets or bullet drop.

The HUD is receiving some much needed love with new functions being added to the options, giving the player a new level of customisation to help declutter their screen and keep only the requested and essential information.

Reviving your fellow soldiers is crucial to the match effort, this has been improved by the inclusion of a full charge sound to accompany the paddles alongside a UI indication on expected revive times.

A wealth of Netcode updates will improve ping differences and improve the desynchronised player damage problem.

Vehicles are receiving some buffs, tweaks and nerfs where needed in an attempt to make things more fun and more fair for all involved.

And finally the most crucial part of the update. Weapon balancing, straight from the mouth of the maker, “We’ve focused on maintaining a consistent Time To Kill (how long an average engagement lasts for). With the changes to visual recoil, the third person hit reactions and improved “tickrates” has been sped up somewhat as we still need to balance this with damage and recoil changes. Suppression systems has also been re-tuned and made clearer.”

So fingers crossed all goes well in your next deployment.
