Study Shows Games Don’t Make You Violent. Yep, We Knew That Already Too

Hey look, not everyone is scared of games.

GTA 5

Remember when you were a kid and you maybe played a game that had some violence in it? And perhaps you killed someone in that game? Then you went outside and murdered everyone in sight? Of course you don’t, you’re not an absolute lunatic that is subliminally programmed to be a murderer by video games.

Not very surprisingly at all, more research into the link between violence and video games has yielded nothing of consequence. While most people are content to sit back and ignore the fear-mongering that’s constantly being poured out of, well, morons if I’m being frank.

But it’s nice to see the person conducting the research point out that as game sales went up amongst kids, crime and violence committed by them went down, “strongly” suggesting that games, in fact, help reduce violent tendencies. I imagine as an outlet. Nothing beats listening to sore losers vent.

You can read the study here.
