Greenberg On X1 Exclusives: Excited About Tomb Raider’s Progress, Ori & ScreamRide Coming Along Well

The first half of 2015 is looking a tad dull for Xbox One but the second half is simply going to be amazing.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg who leads the games marketing team across 1st & 3rd Party at Xbox One often takes to Twitter to answer fan questions and queries. Recently he took to Twitter again to update Xbox One players and fans on the progress on some of the upcoming Xbox One exclusives including the big one, Rise of the Tomb Raider.

It’s often suggested that the Xbox One does not have that many exclusives as the PlayStation 4 in 2015, which is true to a certain extent. Although how that translates into quality and innovation is a different story. But one fan had a similar concern when he asked Greenberg about the exclusive games for the first half of 2015.  Greenberg stated that Ori and the Blind Forest and ScreamRide are a couple exclusives coming next month and they are both coming along really well. This also possibly confirms that Microsoft does not have any major exclusive for the first half of the year which is a tad disappointing.

But the Xbox One’s other half is looking amazing. Microsoft have Forza Motorsport 6, Fable Legends and Halo 5: Guardians. But perhaps the biggest one is Rise of the Tomb Raider, the result of a timed exclusivity deal between Square Enix and Microsoft. Greenberg stated that they are excited by the progress of the game and are honored to work with a world class team in Crystal Dynamics. The 2013’s reboot was a cracking success for Square Enix and given the sequel’s Siberian setting, Rise of the Tomb Raider is one of the major titles that may push up the Xbox One sales in the all important holiday season.
