Star Wars: Battlefront is almost due to be fully revealed, but in the meanwhile, EA and DICE are doing everything they can to break the internet with sheer anticipation for the upcoming game. With constant daily teases, we see more and more of the game, and the more we hear, the more we begin 3to wonder: will the final product really be this good?
Consider that question applied specifically to the graphics. The image that you see above is from the newest tease for the game, and it shows off a stormtrooper looking hyperreal. If your question is, will the final game actually look this good? Well, the answer so far seems to be, yes, sort of.
Speaking specifically about this stormtrooper, here is what Community Manager Mathew Everett confirmed:
“Yes, this is an in-game asset rendered out for this early reveal.”
Now, the wording here is tricky, so don’t get too excited just yet. First off, let’s get the good news out of the way- this is an in game asset, meaning it is a good indicator of the kind of asset quality and art we should expect from the final product.
that said, it has been ‘rendered for this early reveal,’ which means it has been, in laymen terms, touched up to look better than it will be- so the final game, while not necessarily looking this good, will still be within the ballpark as indicated by this model.
Personally, that’s good enough for me. And I’m more concerned about how the game plays anyway.
