Assassin's Creed Syndicate

It’s surprising how little hype or even awareness there seems to be for Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate. This year’s Assassin’s Creed game, which hits in October, takes players to the long requested London setting, but it appears as though nobody cares at this point, hinting that the damage done to the brand by last year’s disastrous Assassin’s Creed Unity may have been monumental.

That said, if you were looking forward to more news on the game, this information blowout courtesy of Twinfinite may be just what the doctor ordered. We get loads of new information- for instance, it appears as though it is possible for Evie to travel around the map with a Batman-esque grappling hook, which should add another layer to the series’ fluid parkour.

There is also a new item players can use called voltaic bombs. These bombs are able to incapacitate multiple enemies- when you use them, blue and white chains of electricity flash across the room, and in a burst of electric current, take out multiple enemies at once.

On the whole, it appears as though Evie is more the embodiment and evolution of the true stealth gameplay that Assassin’s Creed has been hinting at for a while now; her brother, Jacob, on the other hand, will push in the opposite direction with his more action oriented approach. All types of Assassin’s Creed players should find something to their liking in Syndicate.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate launches in October on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
