Halo 5 Guardians Won’t Have Map Voting or Veto in Multiplayer

Straight map rotation all the way.

Halo-5-Guardians-Multiplayer

343 Industries continues to work on Halo 5: Guardians, its biggest game till date and arguably one of the most anticipated Xbox One exclusives in the console’s short life span. It’s been making some rather divisive changes, such as the lack of split-screen multiplayer and just recently, studio head Josh Holmes announced that multiplayer would not have any voting or veto options for maps.

Speaking on Twitter, Holmes stated that Halo 5’s multiplayer maps would work on a straight rotation. This means that maps will cycle through on their own without player input. While this take freedom away from players (earlier Halo titles had this option after all), it does ensure that players won’t vote for the same map and mode again and again, thus reducing monotony.

Then again, try asking Destiny players if they’d like some kind of voting system for PvP. You’d be surprised how many will say yes.

Halo 5: Guardians is out on October 27th for the Xbox One. Stay tuned for more information and let us know whether you agree with current changes or not.
