Mirror's Edge Catalyst

While we’re still a little ways off from when we can get our hands on Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst we can get a look at a new video that shows off what we can expect when the title does launch. While the developers have been shedding some light on the game for the last few weeks, this video actually allows us to see just how you are going to be moving through this world. As an added bonus, the video also shows off some rather good looking graphics.

Movement is a bit like it was in the first Mirror’s Edge where you’ll be jumping from one place to another quite a bit. You also will have to build up enough speed in order to actually make the jumps from one roof to another in Catalyst. As was the case in the previous version you’ll also have to build up enough momentum and speed to actually run alongside a building when you run out of railing to perch on.

During some of your travels through this world, you will have to have a little help in the form of gadgets. Some will be with you from the very beginning and others are going to be picked up along the way. All of them will be vital if you want to make the trek safely through your surroundings. Check out the video below to get a good look at Mirror’s Edge Catalyst which finally releases for the PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 24, 2016.
