With Halo 5: Guardians completed and out on the market, it appears some game designers for 343 Industries are looking to join new endeavors. That is certainly the case for 343’s senior campaign and sandbox designer Brad Welch who announced through his social media accounts that he was leaving the company. Welch announced on his Twitter account that he is going to be joining Visceral Games in order to work on Amy Hennig’s upcoming Star Wars game.

When Welch was specifically asked about whether or not he was looking forward to the change, he responded that he was, “looking forward to working with Scott Warner, Amy Hennig and the crew at Visceral Games on a new adventure.” Not surprisingly, he didn’t talk a lot about just what this chapter in his career was going to bring as far as just what the new game might include. Considering Visceral has been pretty tight lipped about just what they’re expecting, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that he couldn’t provide any more information.

It also shouldn’t come as a huge shock to people to learn Welch was looking to leave Halo 5: Guardians behind. While the game had a massive amount of success when it launched and well after, there have always been complaints from some fans of the long running series. Those complaints apparently even affected the console’s sales numbers, considering recent reports indicate the game didn’t lead to nearly the amount of sales that previous titles in the franchise did.
