Kojima and Reedus may be working together on Kojima's next big game.

One of the greatest tragedies of Hideo Kojima’s fallout with Konami was the cancellation of the excellent seeming Silent Hills, the Kojima helmed reboot of the classic survival horror franchise. The only ode to Silent Hills we have today is P.T., a playable teaser for the game that was launched at Gamescom 2014.

Silent Hills was meant to be a collaboration between Hideo Kojima and Mexican director Guillermo del Toro; it was also going to star The Walking Dead‘s Norman Reedus, known for playing Daryl on that show. It was, in other words, going to be the ultimate nerd collaboration, and its cancellation continues to sting to this day.

However, new evidence has emerged that indicates that Reedus and Kojima, at least, may in fact still be working together, possibly on Kojima’s newly reformed Kojima Productions’ new game. Today, Kojima tweeted a picture of some motion capture work being done for his studio. The picture showed the actor’s bodies, but their faces, and any other identifying features, were very strategically obscured.

However, some extremely passionate fans on Reddit have broken the image down, and determined that the actor in question may be none other than Norman Reedus- the hair, the finger, and even the part of the fact that we can see very clearly seems to be Reedus- this indicates that Reedus may in fact be involved in Kojima’s upcoming game in some capacity.

You can check the original tweet, as well as the analysis image, below. Personally, the argument seems to be a fairly compelling one to me, though maybe that has to do with me desperately wanting a Reedus-Kojima collaboration. Kojima has stated flatly that he will not do a Silent Hills-esque game again, but that does not mean that him and Reedus can’t be working on something else together.

What do you guys think? Is that, or is that not, Norman Reedus in the picture?
