It seems promising enough for now.

Gravity Rush 2 looks to make good on the promise and potential of the first game- and if you were still in doubt about its ability to do that, then this new batch of information and especially these new screenshots (via Gematsu) should help you put all of your doubts to rest.

For instance, take the combat- the combat in the original game was widely panned as shallow and repetitive. However, in Gravity Rush 2, things change. Enemies in Gravity Rush 2 aren’t limited to Nevi and Scarabs. Kat and Raven will sometimes face off against entire city-sized enemies. In one case, they fight against a literal ghost city that devours entire buildings an reconstructs them as limbs for fighting.

New story details were also revealed, including about Hekseville, the town where Kat’s story first began, and which she will be returning to- it seems like things will have changed there this time around, under the protection of Dr. Brahman, a benevolent scientist regarded as the savior of the city.

You can check out new screenshots for Gravity Rush 2 below as well. Owing to the game’s delay, it is now set to launch in January 2017 on PS4 exclusively.
