Horizon: Zero Dawn

Guerrilla Games’ Horizon: Zero Dawn isn’t out yet but it’s been clear for a while that it could be Sony’s next big franchise if it’s successful enough.

Jon Edwards, who’s product manager for Sony Interactive Entertainment UK, spoke to MCV UK about the same and noted how Aloy could become an iconic character like Nathan Drake or Sackboy. “She’s a PlayStation icon of the future.”

Edwards then clarified that while “nothing has been announced to date but I think there’s a lot of potential for this to be an exciting new franchise for us – we’ll just have to wait and see.”

Then again, if you’ve been keeping track of spoilers, it seems even Guerrilla Games is intent on keeping Horizon going into the future. It’s out on February 28th for PlayStation 4.
