Mass Effect Andromeda Runs Smoothly At 4K On Ultra Settings

Day one patch will be available for early access.

When Bioware released PC system requirements for Mass Effect: Andromeda, there was some concern about the recommended specs. Not only were they hefty but EA also recommended them for hitting 1080p/30 FPS. However, producer Mike Gamble has now clarified a couple of things about the PC version.

Gamble noted in response to a fan that the PC version was “not a port, and it’s not f****d up.”

He then clarified that the absolute fastest GPU produced by Nvidia, the GTX 1080 Ti, would be able to run the game at 4K resolution on Ultra settings. Not only that but the frame rate could be over 60 (Gamble said that he was “pretty sure” about it).

Finally, it was revealed that the Day One patch, which is 2 GB in size, will be available for EA/Origin Access users to play when the limited trial goes live on Thursday. Mass Effect: Andromeda itself is out on March 21st for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
