‘Monino’, A Mario Rip-Off, Made It To iOS

When i say rip-off i am not exaggerating in the slightest, just watch the video above. A sluggish platformer which uses identical sprites and sounds to those featured in numerous Mario games was given the go-ahead by Apple to hit the app store. It was swiftly removed, but the fact that it even got put there in the first place raises a few questions about Apple’s quality control. Just for kicks I have included the games product description:

“The protagonist of this game named Monino, in the story of this game, Monino’s brother was captured by a monster named Bowler, he is on the road to Bowler’s castle to rescue his brother, a lot of monsters in different levels are waiting for him, would you like to join Monino’s rescue action? Go!”
