Starring in the appropriately named Samus Returns, the game is a throwback to the Gameboy title Metroid 2: Return of Samus, and it is exactly what the doctor ordered for the ailing franchise- a return to form with the kind of old school Metroivania action platforming that made the series so big to begin with.
