Following rumors of a reveal in March, Bethesda Game Studios has announced that it will have more news to share on Starfield this week. Regarding composer Inon Zur’s comments on Todd Howard being a visionary, it said, “We ran this by Todd, and he said his only visionary power is seeing running lanes in EA College Football 26.”

However, the creative director “appreciates all the passionate feedback on Starfield.” Previously, Howard confirmed that new content was in the works for the space-faring RPG, which recorded huge player numbers but fell off in popularity compared to the studio’s previous major releases. However, he said it wasn’t comparable to a “Starfield 2.0,” instead, being meant for those already enjoying the experience.

“If Starfield is something that didn’t connect with you right away, or you bounced off it, or found it boring in places, I don’t think this is going to change that fundamentally.”

For those who are invested, lead creative producer Tim Lamb promised “some new game systems” and making space travel feel “more rewarding.” You can also expect new story DLC, and based on teasers thus far, it could focus on the Terran Armada, a potential new faction.

Of course, there’s also the long-rumored PS5 version, which is allegedly launching on April 7th. Pre-orders reportedly become available on March 17th/18th, with the Standard Edition seemingly retailing for £49.99/€44.99. This could translate to a US price of $49.99 and may represent a potential price drop for the game on Xbox Series X/S and PC.
