Final Fantasy 15 Director Has Already Begun Work On His New Project

I wonder what this will be like.

Final Fantasy 15 (1)

We have known for a while that Hajime Tabata, the man who rescued Final Fantasy 15, and released it to general acclaim and great sales last year, wants to work on an entirely new IP (and his own project) as his next game. What we did not know so far, however, was that work on that project has apparently already started.

Speaking to Game Revolution, Tabata confirmed that work on the new game has already started, though he also emphasized that for now, he can’t and won’t say anything about the game. Given Square Enix’s problem with routinely announcing games early, sometimes by as much as a decade, I don’t think there is anything wrong with him choosing ti stay tight lipped about it until he feels it is close enough to completion that he can show it off confidently.

Meanwhile, if you want to see what Tabata can do, you can always play Final Fantasy 15, which continues to get substantial changes, additions, and updates to this day, often for free. It is available on PS4 and Xbox One, with a PC version launching next year.
