Monster Hunter World Nintendo Switch Port Will Be ‘Hard, But Not Impossible’, Says Iron Galaxy Studios CEO

Adam Boyes and his team can make it happen if given the chance.

Monster Hunter World Event Schedule

Capcom has said in the past that bringing Monster Hunter World over to the Nintendo Switch would be a difficult task, but the team at Iron Galaxy Studios, who also handled the Switch version of Skyrim (which was pretty good, mind you), feels differently. Adam Boyes, CEO of the studio, recently took to Twitter to implore Capcom to allow them to handle a port of the game for the Nintendo system.

Boyes tweeted that while he understands that making Monster Hunter World work on the Switch would be “challenging”, that sort of thing is what Iron Galaxy specializes in, before telling Capcom to “give [them] a shot”, and that they wouldn’t “let [them] down”. One person responded to Boyes, saying that doing so would be really hard, to which Boyes said that while it would indeed be hard, it wouldn’t be impossible.

Frankly, I’d love to see Monster Hunter World on the Switch (but then again, I’d love to see every single game ever made on the Switch). The Monster Hunter series did exceedingly well on the 3DS for a number of years, and to be able to play World, which is probably the best game in the series, on the go would be an amazing thing indeed.

Of course, none of this means much in terms of an official announcement, but it’s good to receive word from people who know what they’re talking about that a Switch port for the game is not entirely impossible.
