The Division Update 1.8

Along with a bunch of new features and quality of life changes, Ubisoft Massive deployed a heavily requested addition to Tom Clancy’s The Division – Xbox One X support. If you own an Xbox One X, then you can take advantage of a number of different enhancements.

According to the patch notes for update 1.8.1, it brings 4K rendering along with higher anisotropy. There are also improved reflections, object detail and screen-space shadows. How this compares to the base Xbox One version and whether it’s an improvement over the PS4 Pro version remains to be seen.

In the meantime, there’s plenty to enjoy in the update. Two new Legendary Missions – Amherst’s Apartment and Grand Central Station – have been added along with 40 new Commendations to unlock. Division Tech drops have also been increased for various quests and completing Weekly Open World and Weekly Underground Assignments now provide 100 Div Tech each.

Classified Gear also drops more frequently and the Special Vendor has a cache guaranteeing one Classified piece. For more information on update 1.8.1’s improvements, head here.
