Kingdom Hearts 3 Might See The Return of Xigbar And Luxord

The voice artists have said some interesting stuff.

As per some statements made by a couple of voice actors, two characters that Kingdom Hearts fans will be familiar with might be returning in Kingdom Hearts III. These two characters are Xigbar, who was voiced by James Patrick Stuart, and Luxord, who was played by Robin Atkin Downes in previous games of the series.

Stuart was asked on Twitter if he’s been doing any voice work for Xigbar for the upcoming sequel, to which his answer was predictably noncommittal- he said that he can’t say anything either way. Of course, this is by no means a confirmation that he is coming back to portray the character, but it does stand to reason that if he wasn’t he would have just straight up denied it.

Then there’s Robin Atkin Downes, also known for his portrayl of Kaz Miller in Metal Gear Solid and Travis Touchdown in No More Heroes, who put up a tweet in February stating that he had started working on three new projects that he was quite excited about. While he didn’t give any details on what those projects might be, it’s fair to assume that at least two of those are Kingdom Hearts 3 and Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. Once again, though, this is by no means a confirmation of any sort.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is due out for the PS4 and Xbox One later this year. It doesn’t have a specific release date yet, but we expect that will change at this year’s E3. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more updates.
