Fed up of not having someone to play with? Want to commend a teammate for doing well after a match rather than berate, report and possibly avoid them? The latest patch for Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch allows for both of these things thanks to Looking for Group and Endorsements.
Endorsements are like a new reputation system. You can commend teammates for sportsmanship, good teamwork and shot calling. A player’s Endorsement level can be viewed through Career Profiles and the Groups menu, thus providing a better look at the kind of people you’re playing with. If you gain enough Endorsements on a regular basis, then rewards will be sent across every now and then. Meanwhile, continuous negative behaviour and suspensions will cost you to lose Endorsements.
The Looking for Group feature has been heavily requested since Overwatch launched. It allows players to create their own team and advertise for which roles they’d like filled. You can specify game mode, whether roles are enforced (causing players who fill those slots to only choose heroes in that role) and so on.
