IO Interactive has been making all the right moves since announcing Hitman 2, published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The Miami level walkthrough at E3 2018 further cemented its commitment to large sandbox-like levels with several different outfits and methods for assassination. Unlike its predecessor though, Hitman 2 won’t be episodic and ships as a complete game at launch.

That being said, how many locations should players expect? VG247 spoke to a representative at IO Interactive who confirmed that there would be six locations “immediately playable”.

“We have six confirmed locations that will be immediately playable when Hitman 2 launches on 13 November 2018,” the dev said, “and there will be multiple missions available within each location.”

Story missions, Elusive Targets, Escalation Contracts and player Contracts are all included, so you can spend a lot of time messing around in these areas. Two paid expansions are also in development, which bring new locations, missions, sniper maps, and more.

The launch package isn’t all that different from the “base” Hitman (2016) experience, which had six core locations to explore. Post-launch updates were made available along with additional paid content, so Hitman 2 should be business as usual for fans.

Hitman 2 is available on November 13th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The standalone mode Sniper Assassin can actually be played right now if you pre-order the game. Only one mission is available but it can be played either solo or with a friend.
