The new God of War title to release this past April was quite an amazing departure from the previous entries of the series, doing a lot to humanize Kratos back into a respectable character and captivating PS4 players the world over. An old rumour of that property being adapted into a Netflix series has resurfaced, though not as confirmation.
Cory Barlog, the director of the original God of War II on PS2, and the man behind the fantastic “soft” reboot from just a few months ago, confirmed on Twitter in reply to one of these rumours that no, there was no God of War TV show happening on Netflix. However, in the same post he also made clear that he would be very open to the possibility.
The Witcher is currently being developed into a Netflix show, bringing the escapades of Geralt to life with the help of the Daredevil writer Lauren S. Hissrich, who will serve as showrunner. While we don’t quite have a God of War show in the works, we can always look forward to running through the game again with the upcoming new game plus mode introduced at E3.
True. This is not happening.
Hmmm…🤔…
I wonder if we should do something about that @netflix ? https://t.co/0qGVP9E0ET
