A good way to catch up on the story, and create virtualized "saves".

The Walking Dead The Final Season_03

The Walking Dead: The Final Season is just a few weeks away- but when it launches, it will be the fourth major entry in the continuing saga of Clementine, as she struggles to survive in a world fallen apart in the wake of the zombie apocalypse. The Walking Dead games by Telltale place a lot of emphasis on continuity, with the stories, as well as the various choices you make through the games (at least in theory), carrying from episode to episode, and season to season.

But what if you’re a newcomer who just wants to play the latest game, without having to concern themselves with about fifteen episodes’ worth of continuity? Won’t you feel lost? Will the story default to the standard, default choices?

Well, the answer is yes- but Telltale does have a solution. The Walking Dead: The Final Season Story Builder is an interactive browser game, that lets you recap the events of the other three seasons so far, also letting you make all the crucial choices. These choices are then saved in the form of a virtualized “save”, which you can carry over into the final game.

Pretty good, right? The Walking Dead: The Final Season launches on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on August 10, with a release for Switch coming later in the year. You can also play a demo for the final season now, if you are impatient for it to be out already.
