We Happy Few

It’s been a long time coming but Compulsion Games’ We Happy Few is finally launching on August 10th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. To celebrate the upcoming launch, a new trailer has been released, which features the three primary characters attempting to escape the despotic Uncle Jack. Check it out below.

Along with Arthur, who was available in early access, there’s Sally and Ollie to control. While Sally uses special drugs to put guards to sleep, Ollie can employ explosives and brute force to get the job done. Every time the player “dies”, they go through a different version of Wellington Wells, thanks to the game’s procedural generation. Why does this happen and why are people forced to imbibe Joy? That’s the heart of the mystery in We Happy Few.

Though Compulsion Games is now owned by Microsoft, who are publishing the Xbox One version, We Happy Few will be published for PS4 and PC by Gearbox. The fun doesn’t end when the base game is over – post-launch DLC has also been announced along with a Season Pass.
