Dragon Quest Builders 2 2

Square Enix has steadily been revealing plenty of new information about their upcoming game, Dragon Quest Builders 2. They have now updated the game’s official Japanese website with new details about building, and also about the Vacant Island setting, while also releasing some new screenshots (via  Gematsu).

To build up Vacant Island, players will have to get other people to migrate to the island, after which their special abilities can be used to accomplish that lofty task. The island is going to be empty at first, but it looks like it’s going to be fun to try and build it up in cooperation with the characters in the game. When it comes to building in the game, players will have many options at their disposal, including the ability to dye things, make meals using the required ingredients, and more. There will also be blocks that change shape when connected together, and glass that can be used to create windows and water tanks.

You can check out the new screenshots for the game below. Dragon Quest Builders 2 is set to release on December 20 in Japan for the PS4 and Nintendo Switch. A Western release hasn’t been announced yet.
