Red Dead Online Gets New Gun Rush Mode

A second take on the battle royale genre is what it sounds like.

Red Dead Online

Rockstar has announced that Red Dead Online will get a new mode today. Gun Rush mode, which was previously leaked, sounds like a (second) take on the battle royale concept, with players having to hunt for weapons and supplies on a shrinking play area on the map. It’s a bit perplexing because there already is a battle royale mode in Red Dead Online—Make It Count. That said, that one seemed to focus more on stealth than it did on survival, so maybe this one will be the inverse.

The new mode is not the only new addition to the game either. Rockstar has confirmed more new content, including new story content, new Daily Challenges, Dynamic Events, Parley changes, new clothing and weapons, and more, will all be coming to the game over time. Of course, this level of support for Red Dead Online is to be expected, given how well (more or less) Rockstar supported GTA Online over the last five and a half years.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.
