Mortal Kombat 11 Could Be Delayed to May for Switch in Europe – Rumor

If true, then the Switch version may be delayed by two and a half weeks in Europe.

One of the most surprising third party game announcements for the Nintendo Switch was that of Mortal Kombat 11. The game looks like an absolute graphical showcase, and I am sure no one would have batted an eye if it had skipped Nintendo’s relatively underpowered hybrid console. But no, it was announced for the Switch, and for a day and date release, too.

About that… the Switch version of the game may be seeing a minor delay, at the very least in Europe. Nintendo Soup reports that multiple retailers in Europe, including the official Warner Bros. store as well as the UK and French Amazon sites, have moved the date for the Switch version of the game into May (the other versions seem to be still listed for an April release, so it’s not a wider delay).

The delay isn’t too egregious—the original release date is April 23, and the Switch version seems to be out May 10, so it’s two and a half weeks (and so far, seemingly only in Europe). But it might come as disappointing to many if this is true—which, as of right now, we have no official confirmation for, mind.

We’ll probably know for sure at the community reveal event for the game, which takes place on January 17.
