4A Games’ Metro Exodus is nearly upon us, offering a continental journey in a post-apocalyptic future that’s bigger than any of its predecessors. There’s quite a lot to uncover, especially if you’re new to the series. Thankfully, the latest trailer does just that, highlighting all the major features of Metro Exodus, like the story, setting, weapon customization, and much more.

As Artyom and friends travel eastward across Russia, they’ll experience different seasons. Despite some scenic locales, the world outside of the underground Metro is still very dangerous, whether it’s in the form of an abandoned facility or quaint hamlets. Though the game features more open environments, the trailer makes sure to point out that you won’t be doing any “fetch quests or busy work”.

Metro Exodus is out on February 15th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. It recently garnered controversy due to publisher Deep Silver shifting the PC version from Steam to the Epic Games Store for a 12 month period. Preorders on Steam will still be honoured though.
