Nioh Xbox One Port Could Happen If Fans Show They Want It

Koei-Tecmo hasn't ruled out the possibility of releasing its action RPG on Xbox One.

Nioh has been a big success for Team Ninja and Koei-Tecmo (and deservedly so), but it has been noticeably absent on the Xbox One. Publishers Koei-Tecmo themselves haven’t exactly been very clear about whether that could change any time soon- while they’ve said that an Xbox One port could happen, they also recently stated that they have no plans to bring their action RPG to Microsoft’s platform.

However, as per their latest update, it’s not completely outside the realm of possibility. Responding to a fan on Twitter, Koei-Tecmo’s European Twitter page said in response to the possibility of an Xbox One port of Nioh, “anything’s possible!” So how/when will it happen? Well, it’ll happen if fans “show us you want it”- so if there’s enough demand for a port, Koei-Tecmo wouldn’t be against making it happen.

Meanwhile, Team Ninja is currently also working on a sequel, which is scheduled to launch exclusively for the PS4, with no current release date having been announced. Information on Nioh 2, however, shouldn’t be too far away.
