Rocksteady Might Be Getting Ready to Reveal and Market Their New Game, As Per Job Ads

Is the studio behind the Arkham trilogy finally ready to unveil its next project?

Batman Arkham Knight 4K

Soon, it’ll have been four years since Rocksteady’s last game, Batman: Arkham Knight came out. The British studio has been silently working on its next title, but beyond cursory updates, we’ve heard very little about it- we don’t know what it is, when it’ll come out, or even when it’ll be revealed. That might be about to change soon, though.

A couple of new job listings have gone up on Rocksteady’s own website that suggest that the studio is gearing up to launch a marketing campaign for its next project, which would suggest that a reveal for the game is inbound as well. A listing for the position of Promo Artist (Video) says the role will “involve the creation of very high quality trailers and promotional video assets”. The trailers and videos in question are intended for a “global marketing campaign for a very high profile, triple-A game franchise”. Meanwhile, a listing for the position of Lead Brand Artist mentions similar things, and mentions the production of “world-class marketing materials for an exciting AAA game”.

Of course, none of this is concrete evidence that a reveal for a new game is imminent- it could be months away still. But at least it does tell us that Rocksteady are finally ready to unveil their new game in the near future, even though the specific timeframe is still a little fuzzy. In spite of the fact that we know very little (read: nothing) about the project, there’s a lot of excitement and anticipation surrounding it, so Rocksteady will have a lot to live up to when they unveil their new game.

The one thing we do know for sure is that whatever it is, it’s not a Superman game.
