Warframe’s Hildryn Receives New Video Profiling Her Abilities

Digital Extremes has released a new trailer for Warframe, profiling its next frame, Hildryn. Having been showcased on official Devstreams for a few weeks now, Hildryn is the next “tanky” frame whose abilities deplete her shields instead of consuming energy. Check out how that works in the video below.

Balefire is her first ability, which fires energy projectiles that can be increased in size and damage by charging. This consumes shields, of course, so the next best ability to use is Shield Pillage. It strips a portion of your enemies’ shields and armour in a pulsing wave, before pulsing back to you. On top of granting overshield, this will also remove status effects from allies.

Haven sees Hildryn providing shields to allies, while damaging foes who get too close. Finally, Aegis Storm allows her to levitate, use two Balefires at once, and suspend enemies in columns of fiery energy that do damage over time. Though an exact release date wasn’t provided for Hildryn, she is expected to arrive this week with Operation: Buried Debts. Stay tuned for more details.
