After multiple teases over the past few days, Epic Games have now announced a crossover event for Fortnite with the upcoming Avengers: Endgame. Titled Fortnite: Endgame, the limited time mode is live now, and sees players battling against Thanos and his army of Chitauri as they race to be the first to collect all six Infinity Stones scattered across the battle royale island.

The mode sees two teams competing with each other, with one being comprised of Thanos and his Chitauri army, and the other of Heroes. Once a team has been eliminated, it respawns, and they keep respawning until one of the two teams has completed the objective. The Heroes can find Mythic Avengers items – such as Captain America’s shield or Thor’s axe – scattered across the map in chests.

Completing challenges in the limited time mode also sees players being rewarded with new Avengers-themed items, such as a Quinjet glider, or Black Widow’s outfit. Epic Games have also released a short teaser for the mode- take a look below.

Fortnite: Endgame is live now across all platforms.
