The Division 2 – Uplay Sales Increase Ten-Fold Over First Game

Console sales, however, fell short of expectations due to a "more competitive environment."

Ubisoft’s most recent financial report closing out the fiscal year has been revealed, and there have been some interesting bits of information that have come to light. One of the most interesting pertains to Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. Sales on Uplay have increased 10 times over the previous game, which reflects the strong pre-orders that Ubisoft reported in February.

Console sales did fall short of expectations though, due to “a more competitive environment than expected.” PC sales were “in line with the first Division’s massive launch”, however. The looter shooter recently received its third title update, which helped buff certain weapons, skills, talents, and gear sets, along with prepping for the first raid. Operation Dark Hours will be going live today and sadly, won’t have matchmaking.

Other important news from Ubisoft’s report includes three unannounced titles (in addition to Ghost Recon Breakpoint) releasing by March 2020. Naval combat title Skull and Bones was delayed and is now seemingly arriving after the 2019/2020 fiscal year. The game won’t be at E3 2019 either, but the development team is working hard and thanked the community for their support.
