The next installment in the mainline Dragon Quest series is most likely underway, but it’s not the only thing that the series has coming. While there was a period when the west got pretty much none of the numerous Dragon Quest spin-offs, that is changing, and the Minecraft inspired Dragon Quest Builders 2 is coming soon. Today, we got a look at the multiplayer aspect of the game.

The trailer below highlights the game’s multiplayer function, a bigger focus here than it was in the first game. You can play with up to four players online with the ability to customize your characters, visit your friend’s creations, and build together- very similar to Minecraft, but of course with that Dragon Quest skin. You can check it out below.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 has already released in Japan, but its western release will see it coming on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch July 12th, and will include limited cross platform connectivity.
