No, that's not a typo for 10. It requires a hundred fricking gigs of storage.

Move aside, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Cyberpunk 2077You thought those games had ridiculous requirements for storage space? We have a new contender for that throne. Minimum and recommended system requirements for Shenmue 3’s PC version have been revealed via the Epic Games Store– and the game requires a whopping 100 GB of free space in your system’s storage.

No, that’s not a typo. That’s a one followed by two zeroes. Being a much smaller production than most AAA games out there, you’d expect Shenmue 3 to be a a game that doesn’t need a whole lot of space, but apparently that’s not true. There’s a good chance that a lot of this ends up being because of uncompressed files- but there’s no way of knowing that just yet.

Meanwhile, other recommended requirements include an Intel Core i7-7700 3.6 GHz processor, 16 GB of RAM, and an Nvidia Geforce 1070 graphics card- so not exactly on the low side. The minimum requirements are definitely a lot more doable though. Get the full details below.

Shenmue 3 launches on November 19 for the PS4 and PC. There’s no word yet on how much space it will require on the PS4, but judging by its PC numbers, we can probably expect something similarly large. On PC, the game will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store (which has been causing a lot of controversy). That said, backers who want the game on Steam and don’t want to wait a year will be getting refunds– which, apparently, are being covered by Epic Games.
