It’s quite the day for news and rumors for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Earlier we found out there’s a very good possibility that the fourth DLC character will be a SNK guest character. But before that we still have the return of Banjo-Kazooie to Nintendo, and it’s looking like the duo could be coming much quicker than anticipated.

The characters were originally announced for a Fall release, which would make a September release somewhat early, but a new Japanese ad at 7/11 seems to point that way. As pointed out by Twitter user PushDustIn, a new pop display is up which features the character that is supposed to be up until the 15th of the month.

While it’s not an official announcement and includes a degree of speculation, which is why we’ll file it under rumor, something very similar happened with the last DLC character, Hero. A similar display was put up from July 24th to August 4th, with the character dropping July 30th. Due to the limited nature of these ads, it doesn’t make a lot of sense to advertise something that’s still a ways off, so it won’t be too surprising to see Banjo-Kazooie drop fairly soon.
