After over a decade of being an exclusive PlayStation studio, Quantic Dream has stepped out into the broader world. The company not only is planning to go multiplatfrom from here on out, but also wants to become a third party publisher of their own. The first step, however, was three of their most noteworthy titles (Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human) coming to PC. David Cage says it’s been a good experience.

In an interview with OnlySP, the Head of Quantic Dream seemed pretty ecstatic about the support they’ve received from the PC community. It’s not clear what he means exactly, whether he’s referring to sales or just general reaction, but either way, he seems to be happy with whatever that reception is.

“It is an entirely new market for us, although we started as a cross-platform developer (our first game Omikron: The Nomad Soul was released on PC and Dreamcast, and Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy was also cross-platform).

The reaction from the PC community has been tremendous. It is like expanding our family. We will, of course, remain a part of the PlayStation family, but we will now also make our games available to everyone, no matter their platform.”

We know the company is working on something else for later, so it’ll be interesting to see what they have in store for their first multiplatform title in many years. Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls is available now for PC, with Detroit scheduled to come out sometime later this year. All are exclusive to the Epic Games Store on PC for now.
