The MediEvil remake is launching for the PS4 later next month, but it looks like Sony intends on letting players get some hands-on time with it beforehand to convince them to get onboard when the game launches in full.
As spotted by users over on Reddit, a demo for the upcoming remake recently went live on the Japanese PlayStation Store. It turns out it was a mistake though, because the demo and its page have since been removed y Sony. That said, some users on ResetEra were pretty quick to download it and give it a whirl, giving details on what it’s all about. The demo’s file size is apparently 11.16 GB (pretty big for a demo), and includes Dan’s Crypt and the Graveyard as playable sections, after which you’re given an option to purchase the full game.
There’s a very good chance that Sony will be announce – and perhaps even releasing right there and then – this demo for MediEvil later today during their State of Play presentation. As for the game itself, it recently wrapped up development and is out for the PS4 on October 25. Head on over here to check out some gameplay, or over here to take a look at some screenshot comparisons with the original PS1 title.
