Apex Legends Season 3

Respawn Entertainment has made further changes to the controversial Charge Rifle in Apex Legends. Introduced in Season 3: Meltdown, the weapon saw some slight changes with regards to extended magazine attachments, damage falloff and so forth. In a recent patch, the gun has now seen a reduction in fire rate.

Extended energy magazines can no longer be equipped and the base magazine capacity is 12 (which allows for 4 shots in total). Damage falloff has also been “modified”. If nothing else, this should make the Charge Rifle less frustrating to fight against. Time will tell, as usual.

Apex Legends has had quite a lot going on in Season 3. Along with a new map, new Legend in Crypto and some new mechanics like loot vaults, there’s a limited time Halloween mode called Shadowfall going on. It sees downed players turning into zombies and hunting the living with the latter struggling to evac in time. The mode is available till November 5th.
