It’s no secret that Bluepoint Games, known for its remake of Shadow of the Colossus for PS4, is working on another game. This one is also a remake that’s bigger in scope and will be heading to the PS5. Rumors have indicated that the studio is working on a remake of FromSoftware’s Demon’s Souls.
However, in a new tweet for Halloween, the developer seems keen to stir things up. It mentions “a symphony of rumors – not one, but two” and “syphon souls”. There’s also a mention of “soft from solid”. So right off the bat, you could point at Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Syphon Filter, Demon’s Souls and even Metal Gear Solid (especially with the part about having a “metal Halloween”).
None of this is confirmed but the part about “not one, but two” is interesting. Is Bluepoint Games working on two remakes? Or is this just misdirection? It might be a while until we find out – the PlayStation 5 launches in Holiday 2020 and there’s no indication that Bluepoint’s game will be available at the console’s launch. But perhaps we’ll see some teases at events like next year’s rumored PlayStation Meeting and E3 2020. As always, stay tuned.
So calm this spooky night. A symphony of rumors – not one, but two – return from shadow. A resistance to dart home as black monsters escape twisted hills to wander lands and syphon souls. Filter your candy collections, soft from solid, and be eco-friendly. Have a metal Halloween. pic.twitter.com/mFFxI7BIDN
