Dead by Daylight

It’s easy to get caught up in the crossover appeal of Dead by Daylight. The game has crossed over with most major slasher franchises at this point, and even some non-slasher horror-adjacent properties. But the original content for the title has been steady and underrated in its overall quality, and today we got a tease for the next chapter, with a new killer and survivor.

Via a press release and a brief teaser (which you can see below), Behaviour Interactive detailed the next chapter in the ongoing saga. The new killer will be The Deathslinger, will wield an ungodly modified speargun/rifle hybrid, and has an ear for machinery. The next survivor is Zarina Kassir, a filmmaker who can manipulate sound, and when at full health can prevent other survivors from dying. On top of that, we’ll get a new playable map with Dead Dawg Saloon.

Dead by Daylight is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC. The Chains of Hate update will release on March 10th. Developer Behaviour Interactive is on an international tour now, so we will probably see more concrete footage soon.
