Hideo Kojima and Norman Reedus’ partnership has really blossomed over the past few years. The game director and the actor were originally planning on working on Silent Hills together, and we saw a taste of that in P.T., but even though that eventually got cancelled, that did not mean the end of them working together. Reedus would go on to star as Sam Porter Bridges, the protagonist of Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding. And it looks like he might appear in more Kojima games in the future.

During a WIRED autocomplete interview, speaking about Kojima, Reedus talked about how he first got in touch with him, calling him a “genius”, before saying that the two are in talks to work on more projects in the future.

“I met Hideo at Comic Con in San Diego,” Reedus said.  “He came out, back when we were going to do a different game and he showed me what he was working on and I was just blown away. The guy is like a super genius. And then I became friends with him, started working with him, and we kept going. So we did Death Stranding, which was a huge hit, and we’re in talks to do other stuff.”

Reedus was nominated for his role in Death Stranding in the Best Performance category at The Game Awards last year. The award was won by Mads Mikkelsen, also for his role in Death Stranding.

Death Stranding is out now on PS4, and is coming to PC on June 2.
