Destiny 2 Guardian Games

The Guardian Games and Grandmaster Nightfall Ordeals are currently live in Destiny 2 but fans aren’t happy. The former has been criticized for its lack of rewards and incentive while the latter is being viewed as more tedious bounties to push spending on new cosmetics at Eververse. With a new large expansion rumored to release in Fall, many are seeking answers from Bungie now before dropping more money on the game.

At the very least, Bungie seems to be aware of this. In response to a Reddit thread, community manager Cozmo23 stated that, “Starting with tomorrow’s TWAB, we plan on addressing a major topic of feedback in the community each week for the rest of the season. Tomorrow, we are going to talk about Trials of Osiris as well as cheating.

“We know there are are a lot of players not currently happy with the state of the game and we want to discuss what actions we are taking to continue improving it.”

Trials of Osiris returned after being unavailable to players since support for Destiny 1 ended and was meant to be a major highlight for Season of the Worthy. Unfortunately, it was plagued by lack of appealing loot – especially for going flawless – along with no permanent ornaments and the inability to exchange Tokens without reaching three wins. It also didn’t help that despite Bungie’s best efforts, cheating has become a problem that some players inevitably run into.

We’ll see what the response is in the coming weekly posts. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
