A new generation of consoles is on the horizon, new technologies are budding and that general feeling of change is in the air. With change comes the good, the bad, and the everything else. It also comes with new studios that will either thrive or fall, and it seems we’ve gotten a new one with some exciting potential from Gravity Well.

It was announced earlier today that Drew McCoy and Jon “Slothy” Shiring would be founding this new studio they are calling an “AAA game development studio.” Those names may sound familiar to you as both are veterans of both Respawn Entertainment, developers of Apex Legends and Titanfall, and the original incarnation of Infinity Ward that worked on previous Call of Duty: Modern Warfare titles.

No projects are talked about, and it seems they are still in the process of hiring talent remotely due to COVID-19 fears, and say they want to start a studio that prioritizes the health of their employees and are therefore “anti-crunch”. So, most likely it will be a long time before we see anything from this new studio, but the future is wide open. If you want to find out more or are interested in applying, take a look at the official website here.
