After suffering a delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter World: Iceborne’s fourth title update will be available on July 9th. This update introduces a new Elder Dragon, Alatreon, who commands a variety of elements in an unstable manner. Nicknamed “The Blazing Black Dragon”, Alatreon is considered the very embodiment of calamity.
Of course, Title Update 4 will have other features to look forward to. Capcom has announced a new developer diary for July 3rd, 1 PM BST where it should outline what to look forward (along with showcasing Alatreon’s abilities). The teaser for the next developer diary also hints at the next upcoming monster.
According to fans, this seems to be Frozen Barioth which was introduced in Monster Hunter Explore. Appearing like a normal Barioth but covered in snow, Frozen Barioth creates icy tornadoes with its breath attack that are larger in size. It also creates snow patches can infect hunters with poison. How will it behave in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne remains to be seen so stay tuned for more details.
