The delay of 343 Industries’ Halo Infinite to 2021 has been discussed extensively since last week. Xbox boss Phil Spencer also chimed in to talk about how the top management made the decision after 24 hours of discussion. While there’s definitely a desire from fans to know more, 343 Industries is asking them to “please hold tight for now.”

This is in the wake of there being no Community Update for last week. Community manager John Junyszek said that the studio is aware that “there are lots of questions out there, especially in regards to Halo Infinite“, but asks fans to “please hold tight for now.” The developer currently has a “lot to work through, including communication plans”, but Junyszek ensure that 343 Industries will “share more when ready.” As it stands, we don’t know how far off the game really is, so it’ll be a wait regardless.

Halo Infinite is currently in development for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. 343 Industries recently confirmed that multiplayer would be free-to-play in a series first (while also running at 120 frames per second). It’s unknown whether the current delay has affected plans to showcase multiplayer in the coming months. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
