It goes without saying that Final Fantasy 16 is one of the biggest and most highly anticipated upcoming games, and there’s plenty of excitement surrounding it. Square Enix have released a few scant details on the game since its announcement, and you can also expect more information to arrive in 2021.

Speaking to Famitsu (via Gematsu), producer Naoki Yoshida (who is also the director of Final Fantasy 14) said that fans can expect a lot of announcements related to both games in the coming year, echoing earlier statements by Square Enix.

Yoshida said: “Please look forward to various announcements for both Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XVI!”

Final Fantasy 16 is in development exclusively for PS5. Reportedly, the game has already been in the works for about four years, and will launch sooner than many expect.

Reports state that the game will remain exclusive to the console for a year, though Square Enix haven’t said anything about the same yet.
