Hitman 3 Reduces File Size of Entire Trilogy to Roughly 100 GB

"Lots of surfaces" from the first two titles have also been upgraded.

It’s 2021 at last and among the big releases releasing early this year is IO Interactive’s Hitman 3. The title serves as the epic conclusion to the World of Assassination trilogy, which can be played in its entirety within the third game. In case there are concerns about file size, IO Interactive recently revealed that it’s reduced the overall size of the games “significantly.”

Over on ResetEra, a developer at the studio said, “One thing I think all of you will be happy to hear is that we have managed to get the size of the game down significantly. All three games with all content will take up around 100 GB.” The engine has also been upgraded to have screen-space reflections. “It’s backwards compatible with the previous two games in the trilogy and lots of surfaces has been upgraded.” The results are “pretty stunning” as per the developer.

Hitman 3 is out on January 20th for Google Stadia, Xbox One, PS4, PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S along with a cloud version for the Nintendo Switch.
