Now that Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda has been formally approved and finalized and the two companies can look ahead to a collective future together, there’s no shortage about questions regarding what exactly that’s going to look like. Yesterday’s roundtable discussion gave us a pretty good initial idea about the same, not only with announcements focused on Xbox Game Pass, but also some much-needed clarifications regarding questions of exclusivity of future Bethesda content. Microsoft and Bethesda still have a lot more to share though, and they’re going to be doing that in the Summer.

During the roundtable discussion (as spotted by IGN), Xbox marketing GM Aaron Greenberg and Bethesda’s global marketing and comms executive Erin Losi confirmed that the two are planning another event together for the Summer, where more announcements and news related to Bethesda will be shared. Greenberg additionally stated that the event will be a more traditional one, similar to what Microsoft usually does for E3- which would imply that fans can probably expect some significant new updates or announcements (or one would hope, at least).

Recent reports have indicated that Microsoft and Bethesda are going to have a major presence at E3 this June, and that both companies’ conferences are still going to be held separately, with Starfield news probably coming at that time. Meanwhile, fans will also be hoping that the rumoured Wolfenstein 3 will be announced around the same time as well- though all of that is little more than speculation at this point.
