SIE San Diego’s MLB The Show 21 is coming next month and for the first time ever, it will be available for Xbox consoles as well as PlayStation. This will also mark the series’ debut for the new generation of consoles. With that in mind, a new gameplay trailer has been released, showcasing just what’s changed about the game.

All of the essentials of the franchise are here, from stunning attention to detail to realistic-looking celebrations. There’s also a peek at the new Stadium Creator, exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, which allows for creating all kinds of wacky ballparks. Current-gen platforms also benefit from 4K/60 FPS gameplay with the PS5 version also supporting haptic feedback and 3D audio.

MLB The Show 21 will allow players to tweak the experience to their liking, providing more casual or realistic games as needed. Progression has also been changed for a faster March to October postseason and one can even fast-track prospect development via minor league games. The title is out on April 20th for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and Xbox One. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
